LifeManagement Q & A
If you and your counselor decide that you need additional services beyond the scope of LifeManagement, you may be referred to other resources. The cost of any ongoing professional treatment, following any sessions offered through LifeManagement, is the responsibility of the employee or dependent. Your medical benefit plan may help to defray the costs. More extensive treatment for mental or nervous disorders and substance abuse may be covered by the company medical plan through UnitedHealthcare under the direction of United Behavioral Health. How can I be assured that this service really is "confidential"? An employee's decision to use the LifeManagement Program and any information shared with a LifeManagement counselor is strictly confidential, within the parameters of the law. The only information shared with the company is the number of employees who utilize the service. No names or other confidential information is provided unless employee permission is granted. How many counseling sessions are covered? Up to five sessions of professional counseling are available per problem episode. What if I need resources and referrals for my elderly parents in another city? LifeManagement offers resource and referral services without geographic boundaries. There are no special networks or a patchwork of secondary providers. There is just one nationwide number - one source for all employees' work/life needs. Call 1-800-980-2273. |
